"CrazyBusy: Coping Strategies for Overstretched, Overbooked Parents and Children" will be explored by Edward Hallowell, MD, at the Oct. 20 Heard in Rye Speaker Series lecture. The lecture will be held at Rye Country Day School starting at 7:30 pm. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
The lecture is based on Dr. Hallowell's book CrazyBusy: Overbooked, Overstretched, and About to Snap!, which explores how the pace of modern life has induced brain overload to the point where our entire society is suffering from "culturally-induced ADD".
Dr. Hallowell will give practical advice on how to take charge of today's super-busy world so that it does not take control of parents or their children. Cutting deeper than the usual advice on how to deal with modern life, he will address how to manage our three most valuable assets: time, attention, and mental energy, and will offer practical assistance for leading a more focused, successful and happy life.
