John Adams returns to Rye!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! John Adams returns to Rye!

For one magic evening, be transported back to the 1790's. Come to the Square House to meet one of the Founding Fathers of our country.

On Friday, October 15 at 7 PM, the Rye Historical Society will welcome John Adams, a Founding Father and second President of the United States, at the Square House Museum.  Back in August of 1774, Adams stopped at the Square House (then known as Havilands) en route to the First Continental Congress in Philadelphia.  Come to the Square House for a unique and fascinating evening - a chance to meet John Adams and hear his inspiring and often humorous views about history, the nation and family life.  Re-enactor George Baker, aka John Adams, has wowed audiences around the country with his ability to transport them back to the 1790s and engage them in spirited and wide-ranging dialogue.   Light refreshments will be available before the start of the program.  Admission is $20 for members; $25 for non-members. To make reservations, please call 967-7588.
