The Committee to Save the Bird Homestead presents Learn to Identify Trees in Winter. Join us for a walk through the Meeting House grounds and the adjacent Bird Homestead property, led by Alison Beall, curator emeritus of Marshlands Conservancy. When the leaves are gone, you can still identify trees by examining their buds and other clues. You may bring winter twigs with buds from your own yard too. Dress warmly. Wear sturdy shoes or boots. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at the end. Bring binoculars if you like. We will meet at the Meeting House, 624 Milton Road, Rye, at 1:00 pm.
