Lucia Oliveira Exhibits at the Rye Free Reading Room

Portraits of Spirituality, an exhibit of works in charcoal and pastel by Lucia Oliveira, are on display at the Rye Free Reading Room through October 13.

Echoing the words Wassily Kandinsky used about another artist, Oliveira “sacrifices conventional form to inner expression, but (her) art tends ever towards the spiritual, towards that profounder emphasis which cannot be expressed in natural objects nor in words.”
