Meeting House - Do Fish Sleep? Fascinating Answers to Questions about Fishes, Lecture & Book Signing

The Committee to Save the Bird Homestead will present Do Fish Sleep? Fascinating Answers to Questions about Fishes, a lecture and book signing by Judith Weis, PhD, on Sunday, October 30, at 3 pm.

Fish are the most ancient and diverse vertebrates in the world, and they carry a lot of weight in our ecosystems and environment.  They may appear to live a dull existence, but these wonders actually possess attributes that would make us super heroes -- some can change color or gender, produce light and electricity, regenerate injured fins, prevent themselves from sinking, and some can even walk on land.

Dr. Weis is a professor of Biological Sciences at Rutgers University and the co-author of Salt Marshes: a Natural and Unnatural History.
