The Rye Free Reading Room invites new readers to "Paws-a-While to Read" with Charley and Nettie, two gentle Bernese Mountain dogs who have Therapy Dog International certification, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, in the Children's Room. The program, which takes place the third Sunday of each month, is designed to give kids the chance to practice reading skills with a non-judgmental listener in a comfortable and stress-free setting.
