Manga Week with Daniel DeNapoli
Ages 8 & up 12:30 - 2:30 pm
Have you ever wanted to learn to draw in this style known as manga? Now here is your chance. Learn the secrets to create powerful manga illustrations. Creating a manga style comic strip will also be discussed, as well as the fundamentals of drawing (composition, shading, perspective, color, etc.) This week is open to students of all skill levels. Bring a sketch pad.
Spring Recess Ceramics Week
Ages 5 - 8 10:00 - 12:00 pm
Ages 9 & up 12:30 - 2:30 pm
Clay is a wonderful, tactile medium that many kids have never experienced before. Its three dimensional nature forces them to think about structure, shapes and forms. In this specialized workshop, students learn the basics of working in clay, and will focus on independent projects. Students work at their own pace, receiving individual attention in a small class environment. Older group will use the wheel, in addition to hand-building.
