The Rye YMCA is sponsoring a panel discussion at the Rye Free Reading Room on dangers of distracted walking and driving.
The event will be held on Thursday, Mar. 24, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
"Videos, first responder comments, and real life experiences will be shared in this open forum discussion of what’s happening, what’s real, and what we can do to make our community safer for drivers and walkers of all ages.
Parents, teens, teachers, business and community leaders are encouraged to attend. Let’s have an open, honest discussion of how we can all reduce cell phone use and texting while driving or walking."
