
Our annual Walking Tour focuses on the rich history of Rye found in the Greenwood Union Cemetery and the adjacent African Cemetery on North Street in Rye. From 18th Century Anglican rectors to sea-faring captains to escaped slaves to Civil War veterans, and even an Olympic athlete, the story of Ryes vibrant past can be found buried in her cemeteries.
