Singing Harp Storytelling Theater will employ marionettes, harp music and storytelling to tell The Valiant Little Tailor, the Grimms' comic tale about a light-hearted commoner who becomes king.
Fun workshops will precede the performance in which children will be guided in the use of movement, creative imagery and dramatic improvisation, while their grown-ups explore the story's themes and symbols and place the tale in its historical context.
Singing Harp Storytelling Theater is a live performance company dedicated to presenting classic stories in dramatic and musical form. Their appearance at the library made possible be a grant from the Westchester Community Foundation.
