The Friends of Read Wildlife Sanctuary is holding its fourth Fall Fest on Saturday, October 17, from 12 Noon to 5 P.M. to celebrate Fall’s bounties in this beautiful county park on the Long Island Sound. There will be live animal exhibits, bugs, bees and a birds of prey show. You can hear live music all day including cool jazz from Arcadia Jazz and the Joe Corsello Jazz Quartet. The Kid’s Corner has interactive arts & crafts from sponsors including the Westchester Children’s Museum, Rye Arts Center, Rye Historical Society and the Clay Arts Center. Other hands-on activities will feature “Capture the Sound” painting, woodworking, trash art and plantings. There will also be kayaking demos with LL Bean, orienteering, face painting, a pumpkin patch and much, much, more. The $10 admission includes everything except food & drinks (kids 3 & under free). Come rain or shine - we’re covered. For more information visit www.friendsofreadwildlifesanctuary.org
