Fugitive From Rockland Escapes After Standoff In Rye Brook
A county Special Response Team entered a home on Fellowship Lane after a brief standoff, but the wanted man already made his getaway.
RYE BROOK, NY — A wanted suspect managed to barely elude police after being spotted at his mother's house in Rye Brook, according to police.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Rye Brook Police Department was contacted by Ramapo Police about a domestic violence incident that involved a firearm. It was thought that the wanted suspect, identified as Jonathon Larywon, might have fled to his mother's house on Fellowship Lane in Rye Brook.
An initial visit by Rye Brook PD found that the house was empty.

During a return visit, just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers spotted Larywon's car at the house and later saw a man fitting Larywon's description inside the home. Officers tried to make contact with the man, who officers said would not speak with them or come out of the house owned by Larywon's mother.
Rye Brook police contacted the Westchester County Police Special Response Team for assistance safely executing an arrest warrant from Rockland County.

At 1:22 a.m. Thursday, police entered the home and searched for Larywon, but he was not inside and managed to escape some time before police could safely and legally enter the residence.
Larywon remains at large. The Ramapo Police Department is still actively hunting for the 29-year-old wanted in connection with the domestic incident on Wednesday.
Rye Brook Police said they are continuing to patrol the area near where Larywon was last seen.
