Hockey Great Eric Healey To Be Recognized At Saturday's Illumination
Join us Saturday when Boston Bruins star and Hull's own Eric Healey is named the "Luminary" of this year's Illumination Festival.

Be on hand this Saturday, July 25, at the L Street Field in Hull, MA from 5-8pm to enjoy some of the newest additions to Hull Lifesaving Museum’s annual Harbor Illumination Festival.
Fun, Food & Shopping. Children and parents can join in some old fashioned fun, like sack races, circle games, and simple craft projects for kids presented by Jen Piepenbrink of Silly Singing Circle Times.Two local favorites, L Street Pizza & Frost Bite will be on site at L Street Field with their delicious, pizza, wings, drinks and plenty of ice cream so plan on dinner at the Festival and local sportswear and craft vendors will be displaying their finest creations.
The Music Festival will feature a guest appearance by Boston Bruins star and Hull’s own Eric Healey where he will be named the LUMINARY of this year’s festival for his long-standing support of the Hull community. Lively music from Fred Meltzer (R&B),”Ramshackle” (acoustic country) and and “Back in Session” (pop-disco) plus the guest appearance of this year’s songwriting contest winner will keep everyone tapping their toes and dancing from 6-8pm.

Illuminated Boat Parade featuring water displays from the Boston Fire Boat and lead by the Boston Pilot Boat will process from A Street Pier to Spinnaker Island spit. Boat owners are encouraged to decorate and illuminate their power or sail vessels (boats must be a minimum or 24 feet or a maximum of 60 feet) for a chance to win the title of “Best Illuminated Vessel.”The last minute entry fee is $35. Last minute entries for the Boat Parade will be accepted via phone-in (781-925-5433) until Friday, 7/24/15 at 5:00 pm.
The Illumination of the Harbor. At sunset,flares are lit along the lovely crescent of Hull Bay, from A Street Pier to Spinnaker Island, as a bagpiper plays from a boat rowed along the shore. The flares are lit in remembrance, celebration or honor. Some flares honor a beloved parent, others a place of great meaning, and some just to say thanks for life itself. Flares are $10 each and can be purchased at the Museum, online at www.HullLifeSavingMuseum.org, or by phone.
