Harlan Jacobson’s Talk Cinema, America’s longest running national film series of sneak previews, comes to Port Chester beginning October 13, 2015.

Founded in 1992 by Croton-on-Hudson, NY resident and the nationally acclaimed film critic Harlan Jacobson, Talk Cinema gives audiences the experience of attending a film festival the way critics do – without any preconceived ideas and with the fun of discovering the next great movie, director or actor.

Surprise is part of the fun -- the title is not divulged until audience members enter the theatre. See the best new independent cinema in advance of its theatrical release followed by post-screening discussions with directors, screen writers, scholars and critics.

In our 2014-15 season, the Talk Cinema audiences were among the first to see such great new films as Force Majeure, Nightcrawler, Timbuktu, The Clouds of Sils Maria, The 100 Year Old Man who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, and The Farewell Party.

Past films have included everything from The Crying Game and Pulp Fiction to Fargo, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Being John Malkovich, The Girls With The Pearl Earring and The Dragon Tattoo, Man on Wire, 20 Feet From Stardom, Ida, The Artist, Blue is the Warmest Color, Silver Linings Playbook and Locke among thousands of others.

Since our beginning in 1992 we have hosted more than 2,800 screening events around the U.S.
