The Westchester County executive also said there will be an announcement about an employee buyout program.

RYE, NY — Playland Park in Rye will not open for the 2020 season. Details will be coming during a 2 p.m. news conference Tuesday by Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
Latimer mentioned the plan to shutter Playland in a personal social media post Monday.
"I made the tough but necessary decision, to be formally announced tomorrow: Playland Amusement Park will remain closed for the season," he said on Facebook.
