Negotiations to Take Over Rye Playland Management Extended

The aging county amusement park needs capital improvements.

Westchester County legislators have approved an extension of one month to work out an agreement for Standard Amusements to take over management of Rye Playland.

Lohud.com said the original deadline for the deal was in November, but the company paid $25,000 and got an extra five months.

Standard wants the county to pay $58 million for 11 capital projects at the aging amusement park.
