RYE, NY — Standard Amusement, which is set to take over managing Rye Playland, said it would spend an additional $5 million to improve the county-owned park. That would bring its investment to more than $32 million.

Standard informed the county of the spending increase in an April 12 letter sent to Westchester County parks Commissioner Kathleen O'Connor, the Journal News reported.

The county agreed to a contract with Standard during the previous administration.
