Possible Luring Attempt in Rye Foiled

Rye, NY — Police in Rye alerted the school district because an older man began bothering a student Tuesday.

The incident involved a 15-year-old female high school student who said that a man in his 40s driving by pulled over and said hello, according to a report on FIOS1News.com.

In May, a man in a blue Jeep pulled up alongside a child near Boston Post Road and Osborn Road and asked where he was going. The district sent an email to parents to use the incident as an occasion to remind children of "stranger danger" guidelines.
