
RYE, NY — Voters in Rye went to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7 for the General Election. There were a number of races to be decided, including a state Supreme Court justice and the next Westchester county executive. Also, there are state proposals and locals races that were decided.

Westchester County Legislator District 7
Incumbent Catherine Parker (D, WEP, WF) won over challenger Norman Rosenblum (R, C, REF), 66 percent to 34 percent.
Rye City
Rye City Mayor
Incumbent Joseph Sack (R, C, REF) lost a bid for re-election over challenger Josh Cohn (D, I, WF, WEP). Cohn received 2,724 votes to Sack's 1,750.
Rye City Council (choose 3)
Sara Goddard (D, I, WEP, WF), Julie Neenan Souza (D, I, WEP, WF) and Benjamin Stacks (D, I, WEP, WF) were the top three vote getters. Also on the ballot were incumbent Terrence E McCartney (R, C, REF), Elizabeth Parks (R, C, REF) and Susan Watson (R, C, REF).
Rye Town
Two seats on the Rye Town Council, Rye Town Clerk and Rye Town Justice are all unopposed.
Rye Town Proposition 1 — APPROVED, 66 percent to 34 percent.
Abolish elected highways superintendent.
