Rye Police Department Will Conduct Alcohol Compliance Checks At Local Businesses

Rye Police Department will conduct NYS SLA Compliance checks in establishments in Rye that sell alcohol for on and off-premise consumption. These checks may involve a uniformed officer walking through your business during their routine patrol or an undercover officer or agent.

The Goal of Alcohol Compliance checks

Alcohol compliance checks are a tool law enforcement can use to reduce the availability of alcohol to underage youth from commercial sources such as bars, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, and convenience stores. By preventing youth access from commercial sources, communities can reduce the negative consequences associated with underage drinking, thereby creating a safer, healthier environment for their youth.
