Rye Preps for Halloween Window Painting Event Oct. 19

At least 500 teams are expected to participate in the annual Rye Halloween Window Painting event, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 19, according to officials. The rain date is Oct. 26.

The event, which takes place at windows around town, is co-sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Rye and Children’s Philanthropy. It has reached it’s limit and a waiting list has been created. Below is additional information from the Department of Recreation:

• All participants painting must be enrolled in Grades K - 8
• All participants must be Rye residents
• Teams of two (2) children only: individual entries will not be accepted
• Registration deadline: First 500 Teams
• Fee: $15 per team (non-refundable)
• Team assignments must be picked up on October 16 or 17 at Rye Recreation from 9:00 – 5:00p.m.
