Rye’sAbove Benefit Concludes at Wainwright House on Sept. 21

The Rotary Club of Rye and The Rye Arts Center Announce Rye'sAbove Benefit and Close of Auction Event September 21st at Wainwright House.

The Rotary Club of Rye and The Rye Arts Center have announced the “Rye’sAbove” program will conclude at a Benefit and Close of Auction Event to be held on Tuesday evening September 21st from 5:30-7:30PM at Wainwright House in Rye, overlooking the gorgeous grounds and Long Island Sound. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, a raffle and music by The Arcadia Jazz Trio in the enchanting setting of The Wainwright House surrounded by the 36 beautiful Rye'sAbove butterflies for their final stop before they are awarded to their highest bidders. The evening at Wainwright House will give guests the opportunity to meet and speak with the artists who created these magnificent pieces of artwork as well as our event sponsors and volunteers.

The Rye’sAbove butterfly auction closes just before dusk on September 21st at the Wainwright House. This will be your final opportunity to bid on the butterflies. Winning bidders can take their butterflies home that evening or make arrangements to pick them up at The Rye Arts Center following the event.

According to Richard Flahive, past president of the Rye Rotary and one of the producers of the event, “The goal of Rye’sAbove has been to beautify and uplift the community while supporting educational programs. We are delighted the project has enjoyed so much interest and support from the community.”

“Our Benefit and Close of Auction Event to be held on September 21st will also be a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to meet and chat with the wonderfully dedicated artists who decorated these spectacular sculptures,” says Adam Levi, Executive Director of The Rye Arts Center. It will also be the conclusion of the online auction that has been running throughout the summer. So there is only limited time left to make your bids,” he added. Bidding for the Rye’sAbove butterflies is available at https://www.accelevents.com/e/RyesAbove until the evening of September 21st. Proceeds from the “Rye’sAbove” butterfly project will be split between The Rye Rotary and the Rye Arts Center and used for each organization’s scholarship and educational programs.

Tickets to the Rye’sAbove Benefit and Close of Auction Event are $75.00 each and can be purchased online at https://ryesabove-benefit-tickets.eventbrite.com.
