Rye State of the City Address Spotlights New Issues

The Rye city mayor gave his State of the City Address Wednesday and stressed that acting as one community will be essential to addressing new and continuing issues.

Mayor Joseph Sack began by introducing special guests from Midland, Milton and Osborn schools, calling out the names of fourth and fifth grade student government leaders, according to a transcript on MyRye.com.

Issues that Sack spotlighted in the address included new collective bargaining agreements, restructuring the fire department and revising the city’s master plan.
