Troopers Say Stamford Woman Faces Slew Of Charges After I-95 Chase
The trouble started in Rye when police tried to make a traffic stop and ended with the driver resisting arrest in Mamaroneck, police said.

RYE, NY — What might have otherwise just been a traffic ticket, turned into a laundry list of charges following a brief police chase on the New England Thruway.
On Monday, shortly before 9 a.m., state police tried to stop the car on I-95 southbound, in Rye. The driver refused to stop, according to police, and a pursuit across the Sound Shore ensued.
The driver exited I-95 at exit 18B for White Plains and Mamaroneck and pulled over on the right shoulder momentarily, before taking off again. Troopers report terminating the car chase because of unsafe actions of the suspect while entering the Village of Mamaroneck. A short time later, the car was spotted parked on James St. and Warren Ave. in Mamaroneck.
