Police Investigating Two Person Shooting in Rye Brook Saturday Evening

Rye Brook Police Department is currently investigating the shooting of two people on Roanoke Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Saturday evening.

Rye Brook police are currently investigating an incident at a residence on Roanoke Avenue in which two men were shot on Saturday evening. 

According to witnesses, an argument broke out in an upstairs apartment at 3 Roanoke Avenue, between the residents and some uninvited guests. The dispute escalated until witnesses heard gun shots. One man was shot in the head, while the other was wounded in the buttocks, Rye Brook Police Chief Greg Austin said in a press release issued Sunday.

Both victims received emergency surgery for injuries at Westchester Medical Center. One victim, with a gunshot to the head, remains in critical condition. The second is listed as stable.
