Westchester Man, 27, Accused of Assaulting State Police Troopers During Arrest
The incident ended on I-95 in Rye, and one trooper broke an ankle during the skirmish.

New Rochelle resident Glen R. Lee, Jr., 27, was arrested Sunday on felony assault, and a host of misdemeanor charges, in connection with an assault on state police troopers during a domestic incident. One trooper broke an ankle during the skirmish.
The incident occurred on I-95 in Rye, when Lee allegedly grabbed the steering wheel of the moving car he was riding in, and assaulted the driver, an unnamed female.

While the victim was driving northbound, the defendant allegedly engaged in reckless conduct by grabbing the victim and steering wheel while the vehicle was in motion. The victim was able to stop the vehicle on the shoulder and the defendant continued to engage in physical conduct by grabbing, restraining and striking the victim with his hands. During the struggle, the defendant forcibly took the victim’s cell phone preventing her from calling 911.
A witness called 911 and Troopers assigned to the Troop T barracks in New Rochelle responded to scene.

Upon arrival, the defendant was not compliant, became combative and proceeded to engage in a physical altercation with the responding Troopers which resulted in one Trooper sustaining a broken ankle.
The charges against Lee are as follows:
- Assault 2nd (D Felony)
- Assault 3rd (A Misdemeanor)
- Reckless Endangerment 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Mischief 4th (A Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Mischief 4th-Prevent Emergency Call (A Misdemeanor)
- Obstruct Governmental Admin 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
- Resisting Arrest (A Misdemeanor)
- Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
Lee was arraigned in the City of Rye Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail and scheduled to reappear on Tuesday Dec. 23 at 9:00 a.m.
