When the D’Agostino closed in Chappaqua in 2011, a Walgreens went in. A DeCicco’s replaced the Cross River store.

The store’s closing has been coming for a while. In 2010, Crain’s New York Business reported that the grocery chain wanted to scale back its presence in Westchester County by departing from locations in Chappaqua, Cross River and Rye Brook.

Nicholas D’Agostino III, president and chief executive officer of the food store chain, reached Monday at his Larchmont company headquarters, told the Rye Daily Voice he had no plans for a new store in Westchester.
