Wobble Cafe Owners Give $10,000 to Westchester Children's Museum
The gift to the museum opening in Rye comes from the Ossining couple's winnings in a national recipe contest.

Beylka Krupp and Rich Foshay, owners of Wobble Café in Ossining, have donated $10,000 to the new Westchester Children’s Museum from their grand prize in the Neighborhood to Nation Recipe Contest.

“I chose Westchester Children’s Museum as the recipient because I think museums, especially ‘hands- on’ museums, are a great asset to any community and every family. Hands-on museums provide families with quality time together where play and learning are combined,” said Krupp in a prepared statement.
Krupp took home the Grand Prize—$40,000 for herself plus $10,000 for a local charity of her choice— in the nationwide contest from General Mills Foodservice. The first annual, the contest is meant to celebrate independent restaurants, the one-of-a-kind dishes that reflect their local flavor and the integral role that the restaurant owners play within their community.

Krupp’s award-winning recipe, Shrimp Etouffeé, is one of the specialty dishes she serves at Wobble Café. It includes a delicious Cajun-spiced shrimp stew that blends tomato, garlic, onion, cream and Cajun spices and herbs served with rice and jalapeno-cheese cornbread.
“Our judges were wowed by Beylka’s mouthwatering Shrimp Etouffee recipe, and we were all truly inspired by her tireless commitment to her local community,” said Danielle Benson, associate channel manager for General Mills Foodservice. “In recognition of Beylka and her restaurant’s contributions to several non-profit organizations in their neighborhood, we are thrilled to make a $10,000 donation to the Westchester Children’s Museum on their behalf.”
