
A man robbed a Centereach bank Friday morning in the third bank robbery in as many days in Suffolk County.
According to police, the man entered the People’s United Bank, located at 1919 Middle Country Road, approached a teller at about 11:30 a.m. and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot.
The suspect is described as white, between 45 and 50-years-old, approximately 5-foot-7with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, black t-shirt, dark jeans and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
On Thursday afternoon, a man robbed a Lake Ronkonkoma bank. A man with a very similar description robbed an East Islip bank Wednesday afternoon, but police have not said if they believe any of the robberies are connected.
