Suffolk Man's Killer Set For Sentencing Wednesday: Report

Glenn Seejattan faces up to 25 years to life for slaying Justin Lee, whose frozen body was found in the woods, prosecutors say.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A Rocky Point man convicted of murdering a Centereach man, then leaving his body frozen solid in the woods near a home owned by his mother, is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday, News 12 reported.

Glenn Seejattan was convicted in March of murdering 34-year-old Justin Lee, who suffered from schizophrenia, and left his home on Jan. 18, 2022, and his half-naked body was "frozen solid" was found 10 days later on Jan. 28, about a half a mile away from the Rocky Point home owned by Seejattan's mother and where he was last seen alive, prosecutors previously said.

Police initially said Lee's body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where the cause of his death was to be determined and no further details were released.

The autopsy "later revealed" that Lee "had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and a gunshot wound to his thigh," District Attorney Ray Tierney's office said at the time.

Seejattan, whose last known address is the home owned by his mother, allegedly murdered Lee while free on bail following an indictment where he is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

“This is a brutal and cold-hearted execution in which the victim’s lifeless body was found dumped outside in the cold 10 days after he was reported missing by those who cared for him,” Tierney said. “The defendant is now in custody and we will seek justice for this senseless tragedy.”

Seejattan was convicted of Lee's murder last month in what Tierney described as an execution-style slaying.

Seejattan faces 25 years to life in prison.

Seejattan's defense attorney, Scott Gross, told Newsday after his arrest that he works in an auto body shop and has four young children, but declined to discuss any relationship that he had with Lee.

The discovery of Lee's body was the second time that someone was found dead on the north shore since October. The body of Melissa Molinari, a mom from Centereach, was found wrapped in plastic in the Rocky Point Barrens State Forest in Middle Island on Dec. 9, 2021.
