East's Vaccaro Commits to Dowling for Lacrosse

Sachem East senior Anthony Vaccaro has commited to play college lacrosse at Dowling next year.

Vaccaro becomes the second player on East's roster to commit this year. Junior Thomas Engelken gave a verable to the University of Delaware earlier this fall.

"I was very excited and realized this is where I belong," Vaccaro said. "I knew by choosing the Golden Lions I had a chance at winning a national championship."

Vaccaro will join Sachem North alums Billy Richardson and James Kenny, as well as Sachem East alum Vito DeMola at Dowling. Current Sachem North seniors Danny Schaefer and Zach Dellacave also committed to play at Dowling next year. Last season the Golden Lions finished 11-3 overall and 7-3 in East Coast Conference play.
