Fire Near Ampitheatre In Farmingville Draws 19 Departments: Report

FARMINGVILLE, NY —A brush fire broke out in woods near Brookhaven ampitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville, drawing 19 area fire departments, on Saturday afternoon, Newsday reported.

The fire spread out over a 300-by-300-foot area causing some concern for a home at the end of Summit Place, though not presenting any threat to the nearby concert venue, Dominic Russo, chief of the Farmingville Fire Department, told the outlet.

No one was injured in the fire, the outlet reported.

The fire started just before 4 p.m., Suffolk police said.
