LI Man, 70, Accused Of Burglarizing 7 Businesses In 1 Month: Police
He was arrested Tuesday, police say.
SELDEN, NY — A Mastic Beach man was arrested Tuesday and accused of burglarizing seven Suffolk County businesses during the past month, police said.
Suffolk County Police said Kenneth Eckoff, 70, was arrested at 4 p.m. on Pine Street in Selden. He committed the string of burglaries within the Sixth Precinct between May 22 and June 25, police said.
During each burglary, Eckoff removed front door glass and stole money from registers, police said.

Eckoff burglarized the following locations, police said:
• Carpet Depot, located at 2970 Route 25 in Lake Grove, on May 22.
• Villa Grazie Pizza, located at 1665 Route 25 in Centereach, on June 2.
• Rainbow, located at 27 Centereach Mall in Centereach, on June 5.
• Carpet Depot, located at 2970 Route 25 in Lake Grove, on June 8.
• Jiffy Lube, located at 1064 Route 25 in Selden, on June 12.
• Cochella Nail Spa, located at 3076 Route 25 in Lake Grove, on June 14.
• Islander Laundromat, located at 1021 Portion Road in Farmingville, on June 25.

Eckoff was arrested and charged with seven counts of third-degree burglary, police said. He was
scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, police added.
