PD Responds To 'Shots Fired Into Air' In Lake Ronkonkoma
Officers found no one was injured in the 11 p.m. incident, Suffolk police said.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police responded to a 911 call about shots fired into the air in Lake Ronkonkoma on New Year's Eve.
Police said that they received a 911 all that the shots were fired on Hawkins Avenue at about 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found that no one was struck, police said.
It was not clear if the sound of shots could have been mistaken for fireworks, as police did not release any further information about the incident.
