Police Seeking Woman Who Used Counterfeit Money at Farmingville Store

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are looking for a woman who used counterfeit money at a store in Farmingville earlier this month.

The woman, pictured above, entered Sally’s Beauty Supply, located at 2320 North Ocean Avenue and used the fake money to purchase items on Jan. 14, according to police.

The same woman attempted to use counterfeit money later that evening to make a purchase at Hallmark, located at 2324 North Ocean Avenue, but was denied the purchase, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
