Here are the top 3 stories in Sachem today:

  1. Centereach man arrested for possession of loaded gun, drugs and fireworks. Jonathan Velasquez, 27, fled police after they tried to stop him on Horseblock Place at 4:40 p.m. Thursday. When police caught up to Velasquez and were able to stop him, they found a loaded 9MM Glock, 5 pounds of marijuana, and fireworks. He was charged with second-and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of cannabis, and reckless driving. (Sachem Patch)
