- Tamarac Elementary School host annual science fair. Students showcased their science skills through an array of work, filling the gym with their projects. (Press Release Desk)
- Samoset Middle Science students study and create Punnett squares. The students used erasable chalk markers on the lab tables to create their own Punnett squares. Students were engaged and happy to use a nontraditional learning experience with their partner. (Press Release Desk)
- Seneca Middle School holds Multicultural and Diversity Week. "Seneca's Prevention Counselor Stephanie Garcia and the world languages department, composed of Ms. Fernandez, Ms. Laudicina, Ms. Markowitz, Ms. Mazzei, Ms. Mednik, Ms. Meric and Ms. Peguero-Collazo, facilitated the activities, which included designing international menus and learning about world dances in the classroom. An Island Empanada food truck selling empanadas was available, and student speakers conducted daily announcements in their home languages like Albanian, Ewe, Farsi, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu." - MacArthur Airport to Raleigh, NC seasonal fights starting this week. The inaugural flight to Raleigh, NC will kick off on Frontier Airlines at 10 a.m. this morning. There will be a ceremony with Town of Islip officials and Long Island Ducks mascot, Quackerjack. (Sachem Patch)

"I had the pleasure of going to the career event and I enjoyed this event and feel it had an impact on the way I view the careers available in my future," said student Steven Azzara.
