🌱 Sachem Daily: Restaurant Burglarized Again + Weekday Events

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

Good day, neighbors! Andrew Tessler here with a fresh issue of the Sachem Daily.

First, today's weather:

Sunny, brisk and very cold. High: 18 low: 9.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Sachem:

  1. Holbrook restaurant burglarized a second time since October. Hummus Mediterranean Grill was burglarized a for a second time over the weekend. A man broke a window at 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning and fled when he realized an employee was in the store. The owners posted a lengthy social media post in which they said they feel "violated" and "not safe". They also said this feels more personal than just a regular break-in. Police are searching for the perpetrator. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Sachem area weekday events: Check out what's happening. As you brave the insanely cold temperatures and wind chills with this, get ready for some local events this week. The cold doesn't have to stop you from going out, as tomorrow and Thursday will feel much warmer. You can learn ballet at Ballet Long Island on Wednesday night or bring your little ones to the Little Prince & Ballet Class at The Ballet Center on Saturday morning. (Sachem Patch)
  3. Waverly students plant flowers to promote peace. Students across grade levels at Waverly Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District recently participated in a special school tradition that promotes peace throughout their school community and beyond. They wrote letters on how they can make the school a better place and also planted daisy bulbs which reminds students of their promises to promote peace. (Press Release Desk)
