- ICYMI: Woman leaves scene of accident, then good Samaritan follows her home where she was arrested. Pauline Ross was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra southbound on North Ocean Avenue when her car struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway at about 10:20 p.m., police said. She left the scene, leaving a 50-year-old man injured. A woman who witnessed the scene followed her home, called 911 and 71-year-old Ross was arrested. (Sachem Patch)
- Suffolk Police to hold 'Prom Impact' event this weekend. More than 1,000 dresses and 300 suits will be available to students for free. They can use the dresses and suits for prom night and return them after. The event will take place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Suffolk County Police Academy, located at 502 Wicks Road in Brentwood. (Patch)
