Here's a look at how the volleyball teams across the Sachem Central School District performed this fall.
Sachem North Girls Volleyball: The girls ended the season by losing three straight matches. Sachem fell 3-2 against Brentwood on the road, and was shutout against Ward Melville and Patchogue-Medford. They finished the season 5-7 in League I.
Sachem East Girls Volleyball: Sachem’s girls volleyball team finished its last two games 0-2. On Thursday, Sachem hosted West Islip, losing, 3-2. To finish the season, they traveled to Bay Shore, losing, 3-2. They finish the season 2-8 in League II.

Sachem North Boys Volleyball: Sachem entered the playoffs finishing the regular season at 8-4. The boys won their first playoff match with a shutout against Smithtown East on Friday night at home. Matt Cahill had 17 kills and six blocks as Sachem North beat Smithtown East 25-17, 25-13, and 25-22 in the Suffolk Class A quarterfinals. Sachem East Boys Volleyball: Sachem’s season ended with a shutout loss on the road against Northport in the opening round of the Class A playoffs. The boys ended the season at 7-5 in League I.
