Special Message: It is with great pride and excitement that I have been bestowed the honor of graduating third in my class. This fall I will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where I will be majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science.
I feel very blessed to have attended such a wonderful high school that has fostered my academic pursuits, has equipped me with an excellent education, and has furnished me with so many outstanding teachers.
Although all of my teachers at Sachem East were great, my favorite teachers were Mr. Varajao and Mr. Erickson. Both teachers are exceptional because they genuinely care for their students and they make it enjoyable to learn. Their passion for teaching is evident because of their dedication to their students’ success.
My favorite guidance counselor was Mrs. Ciancimino because of her kindness and continuous support.
While at Sachem East, my favorite extracurricular activity was being a member of the History Club. Mr. Jannace and Mrs. Haussner helped our History Club to plan meaningful events such as the Holocaust and Human Rights Assembly that educated underclassmen about human rights violations throughout history.
Growing up within the Sachem community has been an amazing experience for me, and I am extremely grateful and feel very fortunate to have had so many caring teachers, mentors, and true friends in my life. It is with their help that I am able to embark upon a bright future. I wish all my classmates good luck in all their future endeavors.
