Suffolk Police Investigating Death Of Man Found In Ronkonkoma

RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found unconscious on a street in Ronkonkoma on Tuesday night.

Police said the man was found on the side of Remington Boulevard, near 6th Street, at about 6:22 p.m., police said, adding that he was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Major Case Unit detectives are "investigating the circumstances surrounding" the man's death, police said.

His name was withheld pending the notification of his next of kin, according to police.

No other details were released.
