Where Are They Now? Anthony Quezada

Former Sachem running back is playing at Nassau Community College.

Spoken like a true Sachem football player, Anthony Quezada said if he could go back and play for the Black & Gold at North, he'd do it again in a heartbeat.

"It means the world to me," said Quezada, who graduated as one of the top running backs in program history in 2009.

Last fall he played his freshman season at Nassau County Community College with former Sachem teammate Craig Geoghan. He saw action in nine games, making nine catches for 72 yards and scoring one touchdown, which was the game winning mark against Army Prep on the road.

Quezada, affectionately known as "Q" to his friends and family, moved from Wheatley Heights to Sachem in eighth grade and he quickly saw the benefit of playing for Sachem.

"They showed me everything," he said. "I wouldn't be the man I am today without Sachem football. They teach you discipline, family, commitment."

His blistering speed helped him capture a third place finish in the 55-meter dash. His senior year he was All-State, All-County and All-Division in track.
