You can't tell by the quality of the teams that he played on (records of 4-4 and 4-5), but Craig Geoghan is statistically the best quarterback in Sachem history. That's a nice title to have when a program has existed for 48 years, and one former quarterback even won the Hansen Award back in 1977 (Brian Dehler).
"Those two years Craig was the quarterback we couldn't make stops when we had to and the injuries we sustained didn't allow us to be consistent," Sachem North head coach Dave Falco says. "Craig was a fierce competitor and always left everything he had on the field. You always knew you would get a great effort on game day from Craig."
Geoghan started playing quarterback by accident in Pop Warner football because the intended play-caller was hurt.
