3 Customers Assault Waitress At Long Island Restaurant: Cops
The waitress, who was taken to the hospital, was apparently attacked after she forgot to bring butter for the customers' bread.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY – Three people were arrested after they assaulted a waitress at an East Patchogue restaurant Saturday afternoon, police said.
According to police, three customers assaulted a female employee during a dispute over food at George’s Luncheonette located at 470 E. Main Street, at about 12:30 p.m. The employee, who police did not name, was transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. A source told Patch the assault occurred after the waitress forgot to bring butter for bread at the table of 49-year-old Irene Carrasco, of Bellport, 19-year-old Rickardo Cummings, of East Patchogue, and an unnamed 17-year-old female.
All three customers were arrested and charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor. They were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Sunday. Carrasco and Cummings were both released on $500 bail and are due back in court this week.

In an email to Patch after this article was published, Carrasco wrote: "The argument did not occur over missing butter on bread. The bread had butter on it and I have the pics and video to prove this. The argument took place because the waitress was very disrespectful and was talking to me in front of my family as well as friends very sarcastically. When I spoke to the waitress I was very polite with her."
