Town of Islip Launches Twitter Account

The Town of Islip has launched a Twitter account, @TownofIslip.

The first tweet came Friday at 11 a.m. Town Supervisor Phil Nolan said the social media site will provide another platform where residents can access information about what is going on in their community.

“As well as announcements, we hope to expand our Twitter platform in a way that allows members of our community to interact with Town Hall,” Nolan said. “By setting up this account, we join an online community that is rapidly expanding and easily accessible to anyone with a computer or mobile device."
