Blue Point Third Grader Raises Money For Families In Need
Connor Peters and his classmates have raised $800 to buy Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, tree skirts and other holiday décor.

This holiday season, third grader Connor Peters is using his compassion for others to lead his fellow Blue Point Elementary School students in a fundraiser he calls “Connor’s Christmas Cheer.” Through this fundraiser, the students have so far raised $800 and counting to buy Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, tree skirts and other holiday décor for local families struggling financially.

Peters enjoys making a difference and says “it’s nice to see everyone pitching in to help people.” Bayport-Blue Point School District thanks Peters for being such a thoughtful member of the community, and a wonderful example for his classmates to follow.
