Body Found In Great South Bay

BREAKING: A man's body was found floating in the bay Sunday night, police say.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man's body was found in the Great South Bay Sunday night. Police say a ferry crew discovered the body three-quarters of a mile south of Browns River Road in Sayville around 8 p.m.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and black sneakers, police say.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
