SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - A Department of Environmental Conservation officer helped a West Sayville oyster farmer recover their floating oyster bags that got swept up in the storms last week.

During the two day storm that hit Long Island, Blue Island Oyster Farms on Atlantic Avenue had two oyster bags break free.

The bags ended up washing up on the north shore of Robert Moses State Park. On Oct. 13, ECO Justanna Bohling helped recover the bags and return them to oyster farm owner.
