Firefighters Battle Blaze In Long Island Home: FD
Firefighters battled a fire that broke out in a Long Island home on Tuesday afternoon.
BAYPORT, NY — Firefighters extinguished a house fire on Long Island Tuesday afternoon, fire department officials told Patch.
The Bayport Fire Department responded to a house fire at the corner of Suydam Lane and Middle Road in Bayport around 12:45, firefighters said.
Upon arrival, Second Assistant Chief Brandon DeMulder confirmed the structure was fully involved in flames and requested additional resources, firefighters said.

"A total of seven neighboring fire departments assisted Bayport Fire Department in battling the blaze, with Community Ambulance providing EMS support," officials said.
No injuries were reported and the home was confirmed to be unoccupied at the time of arrival, firefighters said.

The Suffolk County Arson Squad is investigating the cause of the fire and this time, the incident is not considered suspicious, the fire department told Patch.
